This trail is an excellent trail for beginner, intermediate to advanced hikers. The trail is well maintained with improvements like bridges and gravel in the areas to fix water issues. It is nearly impossible to get lost, and maps are available at various check in kiosks along the trail.
The Westside Overland trail offers any cross-country rider plenty of excitement and challenges. Although there isn't as much singletrack, there are plenty of spots where you can get some good air. Plus, the mogul hills are really fun. What makes this trail stand out, however, is the gorgeous scenery and excellent camp sites.
